What clients usually ask before beginning
Does Microsoft 365 Copilot bypass existing permissions?
No. Copilot generally operates within the permissions assigned to each user. The concern is that users may already have access to more information than leadership expects.
Is this a penetration test?
No. This is a Microsoft 365 governance, oversharing, access, ownership, and Copilot readiness assessment.
Do you require Global Administrator access?
Not normally. Evidence can be collected through read-only access, client-generated reports, exports, screenshots, screen sharing, or PowerShell and Microsoft Graph output.
Can you work with our existing MSP?
Yes. Your MSP can assist with evidence collection, validation, remediation planning, and implementation after the assessment.
Do you perform remediation?
The core assessment identifies and prioritizes remediation. Workshops, implementation planning, remediation sprints, and readiness reassessments can be scoped separately.
How long does an assessment take?
Foundation assessments typically take 2–3 weeks, Standard 3–5 weeks, and Advanced 5–7 weeks. Custom timelines are defined during scoping. Timelines depend on stakeholder availability, access approvals, evidence collection, and client review periods.
Which Microsoft licences are required?
No single licence is required. The review is adapted to the capabilities already available in your environment, and licensing dependencies are identified clearly.
Can this be completed before Copilot licences are purchased?
Yes. Completing the assessment first can help identify major risks, define an appropriate pilot population, and avoid purchasing licences before the environment is ready.
